About
The gas-station burger story
How a burger Instagram became Georgia’s Best Burger.
I’m Billy Kramer, owner and founder of NFA Burger. After a 25-year career across the shoe industry, radio, print, and digital media, I left the corporate world to chase a passion I picked up on the road: burgers.
What started as a personal Instagram account, @billysburgers, turned into a smash-burger pop-up. My first was in spring 2018 at Battle & Brew in Sandy Springs, followed by pop-ups at Galla’s Pizza, Where’s the Scoop, Hampton & Hudson, Big Sky, and the PGA TOUR Championship.
In fall 2019 I stumbled on a newly opened cafe inside the Chevron in Dunwoody, three miles from my house. The owner let me launch NFA Burger inside his gas station, and on December 3, 2019, I smashed my first burger there.
We’ve grown since, but the burger hasn’t changed: Certified Angus Beef, smashed to order, on a Martin’s Potato Roll with our Sassy Sauce.

The Burger Benefit
In 2023 we founded the annual Burger Benefit for Giving Kitchen. One Sunday a year, dozens of chefs from Atlanta and beyond serve their own take on a classic cheeseburger, and every dollar from tickets and the silent auction goes to Giving Kitchen’s mission of helping food-service workers in crisis.
